Job summary

CannonDesign in Dallas is seeking an intermediate interior designer to join a multidisciplinary team. You will collaborate with design and technical leadership, lead project phases from programming through construction administration, and help shape interior spaces that meet client objectives.

Under the supervision of Senior Interior Designer, you will develop floor plans, elevations and finishes, coordinate with architecture, engineering and vendors, mentor junior staff, and participate in

Qualifications

Intermediate-level interior designer with ability to lead project phases.
Ability to mentor staff and participate in design reviews.
Experience coordinating with architecture, engineering and consultants.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of project goals through programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents and construction administration.
Evaluate client needs and document design objectives and spatial requirements.
Research, evaluate and coordinate furniture, fixtures and equipment (FFE).
Coordinate design work and code compliance with other disciplines.
Develop interior space designs including floor plans, elevations and finishes.
Independently select materials and consult with vendors.
Produce drawings in line with time, budget and quality constraints.
Assist in project planning and budgeting.
Lead client meetings and mentor junior staff.
Participate in site visits and construction administration activities.
