Job summary

CannonDesign is seeking a qualified Interior Designer to join our Chicago office. You will contribute to a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with design and technical leadership on project delivery from programming through construction administration.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience, a degree in interior design or interior architecture, and proficiency in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, MS Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
• NCIDQ certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Interior Designer and/or Project Manager with project goals across all phases.
• Assist in development of the design including planning and 3D studies.
• Independently assist in design development and documentation of interior spaces.
• Support Senior Designer with furniture, fixtures and equipment selection and specs.
• Produce drawings conforming to time, cost and quality constraints.
• Identify and apply building and life safety codes to interior design work.
• Prepare renderings and other presentation materials.
• Follow CannonDesign drawing standards and participate in client meetings.
• Support construction administration activities and site visits.
• Mentor less experienced interior design staff and promote design quality.
• Understand proper application of materials.
