Job summary

Mcmillan-Pazdan-Smith-2 is seeking an Interior Designer II to design, draft, and oversee interiors for public, commercial, and industrial spaces. You will develop concepts, produce drawings, and coordinate details with project teams to meet client needs.

The role requires field verification, product research, BIM/CAD documentation, and cost-conscious design development across all project phases. Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field.
Three years related experience in a professional environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Familiarity with Adobe software.
Experience with CAID software.
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit software.
Excellent time management and strong communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform field verification of existing spaces and document as needed.
Research interior products, furniture, and materials.
Apply interior design standards including finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
Participate in all design phases from programming to construction administration.
Work with clients to define project requirements and design criteria.
Create and present interior design concepts and layouts.
Produce construction documents and specifications; manage budgets.
Coordinate interior graphics and signage packages.
Assist with project management tasks and vendor coordination.
Maintain design schedules and ensure client needs are met.
