Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Interior Designer II to lead design exploration and presentation drafting for a variety of public, commercial, and industrial interiors. You will plan, design, furnish spaces, and develop design criteria in collaboration with clients and project teams.

Responsibilities cover programming, schematic design, construction documentation, and administration, with strong emphasis on client communication, scheduling, budgets, and ensuring designs meet functional and aesthetic

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field
Three years related experience in a professional environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel software
Familiarity with Adobe software
Experience with computer-aided interior design (CAID) software
Good aesthetic judgment with balance, proportion, and color
Excellent time management skills
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks with many competing priorities
Ability to absorb new ideas quickly
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to provide excellent customer service (internally and externally)
Strong attention to detail
Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills

NCIDQ Certificate holder (preferred)

Responsibilities

Perform field verification of existing spaces and documentation as needed.
Research interior products, furniture, and materials.
Apply established interior design standards in daily work, including finishes, fixtures, accessories, window treatments, artwork, furniture, plants, and related items.
Participate in all phases of design projects, including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
Work with clients to define project requirements and develop design criteria.
Create and present interior design concepts in response to client needs.
Design drawings by hand or CAD for layout, workflow, furniture placement, and equipment locations.
Refine design to client’s satisfaction and present complete interior design concepts.
Produce specifications for construction elements, furnishings, and cost estimates.
Produce construction documents.
Perform construction administration.
Prepare and maintain design schedules.
Manage design budgets and cost control.
Design, develop, and coordinate interior graphics and signage packages.
Formulate practical, aesthetic designs suited to purpose.
Work with project manager to meet client needs.
Maintain resource materials and library.
Meet with industry representatives regarding products.
Order samples from representatives and manufacturers.
Support business development activities as necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned.
