Job summary

Actalent in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Interior Designer to join our Science & Technology and Mission Critical Team, contributing to high-impact commercial environments from concept through construction. Work with senior designers and architects on space planning, finish selections, Revit documentation, furniture decisions, and construction administration.

Requires Revit, InDesign, CAD/3D tools, and NCIDQ encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture from a CIDA-accredited program.
• 3–6 years of related experience in commercial interiors, workplace environments.
• NCIDQ certification preferred or actively pursued.
• Experience with graphic design, rendering, or 3D visualization software.
• Commitment to professional development and growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist with space planning, concept development, finish selections, millwork design, coordination, and project documentation.
• Contribute to ideation, schematic design, and design development to meet client goals, budgets, and schedules.
• Support design, production, and construction documentation across project phases.
• Develop project materials using Revit and other design tools.
• Assist with furniture selection and presentation, finishes, lighting, and equipment.
• Create preliminary space plans and design studies under supervision.
• Develop interior design details and design solutions with project teams.
• Research furnishings and coordinate with local vendors and dealers.
• Participate in construction administration activities (RFIs, submittals, site visits).
• Collaborate with architects and designers to deliver high-quality interiors.
