Job summary

The Encompass Group is seeking an Intermediate Design Professional for Retail Interiors to shape innovative branded environments for national and global retailers. You will work across concept development, space planning, fixture design, material selection and client presentations, collaborating with clients and leadership to deliver compelling store experiences.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Interior Design, NCIDQ certification, 5-7+ years in retail interiors or branded environments,

Qualifications

• Strong presentation, communication, and client interaction skills.
• 5-7+ years of professional experience in Retail Interiors, Branded Environments, or Store Design.
• Strong retail planning experience including department stores, retail stores, and branded environments.
• Experience designing retail fixtures, millwork, and custom display systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with clients throughout the design process.
• Develop retail programs, test fits, and schematic design packages.
• Create retail store layouts, sales floor planning, and back-of-house solutions.
• Design and coordinate retail fixtures, custom millwork, displays, and specialty elements.
• Assist in design presentations and client-facing meetings.
• Select and specify finishes, furniture, fixtures, and accessories.
• Coordinate with consultants, fabricators, and project teams.
• Review shop drawings, engineering documents, and submittals for design compliance.

Are you a creative and technically skilled Interior Designer with a passion for retail environments and branded experiences? We are partnering with a highly respected design firm seeking an Intermediate Design Professional to help shape innovative retail environments for national and global brands.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate directly with clients throughout the design process
• Develop retail programs, test fits, and schematic design packages

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
• NCIDQ Certification required
• 5-7+ years of professional experience in Retail Interiors, Branded Environments, or Store Design
• Strong retail planning experience including department stores, retail stores, and branded environments
• Experience designing retail fixtures, millwork, and custom display systems
• Proficiency with:
• Revit
• Enscape and other visualization/AI-driven rendering tools
• Strong presentation, communication, and client interaction skills
• Portfolio required showcasing retail design work samples
• Project lists are acceptable as supplemental material
• Construction documents are not required
