Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Specific responsibilities will include:

1. At the direction of senior designers, completes technical drawings
2. Works with design team to develop design ideas
3. Provide preliminary review of engineering drawings to ensure they comply with design solutions
4. Assists senior designers in selecting fixtures and finishes
5. Under supervision, develops preliminary space plans at a high level
6. At the direction of senior designers, may provide suggested details for interior design projects
7. Researches and collects details for furniture and finish cost estimates
8. Develops preliminary plans
9. Assists senior staff with verification of site details to support design
10. Assists in field surveying of client spaces
11. Compiles pricing from manufacturers and representatives
12. Is aware of and supportive of the work of the Junior Designer
13. Supports the team in collecting information for client assessment; may attend interviews, provide documentation support; developing skills working with Affinity program tool

Qualifications:

• Graduate of architecture or design school; equivalent experience may be substituted
• Intermediate Designer 3+ years’ experience in commercial interior design projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Working knowledge of design principles and aesthetics
• Familiarity with space planning methodology
• Familiarity with furnishings and finishes
• Intermediate sketching and rendering skills
• Working knowledge of CDs and procedures
• Familiarity with building systems, codes, and ADA requirements
• Familiarity with requirements for the path of travel
• Familiarity with contract administration
• Commitment to supporting projects through peaks and valleys
• Intermediate MS Office Suite skills
• Advanced Revit skills are a must
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills
• Basic Affinity Program skills
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
• Basic presentation and graphic communication skills
