Job summary

Living Spaces Furniture in Sacramento seeks an Interior Design Sales Associate. You will greet guests, apply our Guest Engagement Model, and emphasize interior design with tailored recommendations for rooms and furniture.

You will manage design appointments, master product knowledge, process transactions, and support the store team to hit revenue targets. An AA/AS in interior design and 1–2 years in retail are required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• AA/AS in interior design or equivalent
• 1–2 years in customer service, retail, or furniture environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of design software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests and execute sales using the Guest Engagement Model
• Determine guests’ goals and requirements for design projects
• Provide design advice, product knowledge and recommendations
• Present customized room designs with fabrics, furniture, tables, and accessories
• Maintain knowledge of merchandise lines and product features
• Process customer transactions in POS system
• Complete required training and participate in ongoing learning
• Support store team to delight guests and hit revenue targets
• Ensure store is ready for Grand Opening with daily task lists and style guides
• Weekend and holiday availability; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
