Job summary

Bluejack Design + Build seeks an experienced Studio Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of its design studios at Bluejack National and Bluejack Ranch. You will manage purchasing, vendor coordination, client communications, and installation logistics to keep projects moving forward.

The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in interior design terminology, capable of handling multiple projects across two locations, and proactive in maintaining organized financial records with the bookkeeping

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in administrative, project management, purchasing, or coordinator role within the interior design industry.
  • Strong knowledge of interior design terminology, including COM, FF&E, lead times, trade pricing, and specification sheets.
  • Experience with purchasing, order management, and vendor coordination.
  • Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines across multiple locations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a polished, client-focused demeanor.
  • Experience working with budgets, invoices, purchase orders, and basic bookkeeping or accounting processes.
  • Proficiency with standard office and project management software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and administrative needs of the design studios across two locations.
  • Manage purchasing for design projects, including PO generation, pricing tracking, and vendor confirmation of specs.
  • Track orders from placement to delivery and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and oversee installation schedules with vendors, contractors, and delivery teams.
  • Serve as primary client contact regarding order status and timelines.
  • Develop relationships with vendors, showrooms, and trade partners.
  • Collaborate with bookkeeping to reconcile invoices and track project budgets.
  • Maintain organized project files, specs, POs, invoices, and docs.
  • Support designers with scheduling, correspondence, purchasing, and project tracking.
  • Ensure consistent communication and workflows between two studio locations.
  • Monitor timelines and anticipate upcoming needs to keep projects on schedule.
  • Identify and resolve issues, escalating as needed to prevent delays.
  • Assist with other administrative and operational duties as required.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Studio Manager to oversee the day‑to‑day operations of our interior design studios at Bluejack National and Bluejack Ranch. This role is central to keeping projects organized and moving forward, from purchasing and vendor coordination to client communication and installation logistics.

The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in interior design terminology, comfortable managing multiple projects across two locations, and confident working closely with bookkeeping and accounting teams to maintain accurate financial records. This position requires someone who is proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to anticipate project needs while maintaining a high level of organization and communication.

  • Oversee the day‑to‑day operations and administrative needs of the Bluejack National and Bluejack Ranch design studios.
  • Manage purchasing for design projects, including generating purchase orders, tracking pricing, and confirming product specifications with vendors.
  • Track orders from placement through delivery and proactively communicate updates, delays, or changes to the appropriate parties.
  • Coordinate and oversee installation schedules, working closely with vendors, contractors, delivery teams, and other project partners.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding order status, project timelines, and updates.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, showrooms, and trade partners.
  • Partner with the bookkeeper and accounting team to reconcile invoices, track project budgets, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain organized project files, specifications, purchase orders, invoices, and other project documentation.
  • Support designers with administrative needs, including scheduling, correspondence, purchasing, and project tracking.
  • Ensure consistent communication, processes, and workflow between the two studio locations.
  • Monitor project timelines and anticipate upcoming needs to help keep projects on schedule.
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively, escalating concerns when appropriate to prevent delays or disruptions.
  • Assist with other administrative and operational responsibilities as needed to support the design team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative, project management, purchasing, or coordinator role within the interior design industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of interior design terminology, including COM, FF&E, lead times, trade pricing, and specification sheets.
  • Experience with purchasing, order management, and vendor coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines across multiple locations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a polished, professional, and client‑focused demeanor.
  • Experience working with budgets, invoices, purchase orders, and basic bookkeeping or accounting processes.
  • Proficiency with standard office and project management software.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and anticipate project and team needs.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, designers, vendors, contractors, and internal teams.

Location:

We are accepting applications from candidates in both the Greater Houston and Greater Dallas–Fort Worth areas, as this role will oversee design operations at both Bluejack National in Montgomery and Bluejack Ranch in Aledo. Only one position will be filled. The selected candidate will be based out of the design studio closest to their primary residence while overseeing operations and projects across both locations.
