Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn seeks a D&R Engineer for Body Interior components across assigned vehicle programs. You will lead the design, development, validation, and release, ensuring manufacturability, cost targets, quality, ergonomics, and serviceability.

You will sign off on engineering specs and manage BOM alignment with suppliers. You will collaborate on CAE studies, CAD transfers, and program documentation, while supporting Studio Development and addressing fit/finish challenges during

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2 years of experience with body interior components in an automotive domain.
• 1 year of CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Comply with program cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets.
• Develop, lead, and maintain program-specific ESOW and manage BOM alignment.
• Lead CAE studies and ensure CAD model transfer to suppliers.
• Support Studio Development and address high-risk Fit & Finish issues.
• Release parts in FEDEBOM/WERS and participate in change control.
• Guide parts implementation and assist with production-quality issues.
