Job summary

Honors Interiors is seeking a Project Manager who translates design plans into flawless, actionable documentation, aligns teams, and maintains client confidence. You will review specs, coordinate schedules, and manage budgets across residential projects in the Sarasota area.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in project management for interior design or remodeling, strong communication, and experience running multi-project calendars.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in interior design or residential construction.
• Strong eye for detail to review specs and drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; acts as primary liaison between designers, contractors and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Review spec sheets, drawings, and project plans line by line for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide complete, detailed documentation to contractors and builders to avoid gaps.
• Serve as primary contact for contractors, subcontractors, and vendors; resolve documentation gaps quickly.
• Lead weekly client update calls or meetings to keep clients informed of progress.
• Run weekly team meetings to align designers on priorities, deadlines, and open items.
• Coordinate studio-wide project scheduling across multiple concurrent projects.
• Track project budgets and flag variances early.
• Conduct site visits to confirm work matches approved specs and design intent.
• Oversee punch lists and final walkthroughs for a smooth handoff to installation.

About Us

Honors Interiors is a full-service interior design firm based in Sarasota, FL, specializing in residential construction, remodels, and full-service furnishings. We run a growing portfolio of design-forward projects across the Sarasota area, and we're looking for a Project Manager who can keep our studio, our documentation, and our client relationships running with precision.

About the Role

We're looking for a Project Manager who lives in the details. Someone who can review spec sheets and construction documents with a sharp eye, make sure every contractor and builder we work with has exactly what they need in extensive detail, and keep our studio operating on schedule. This is not a design role, it's the person who translates our designers' plans into flawless, actionable documentation, keeps our team aligned, and gives clients confidence every step of the way.

What You'll Own

• Review spec sheets, drawings, and project plans line by line to ensure accuracy and completeness before they go out
• Make sure every contractor and builder we work with has complete, detailed documentation — nothing left to guess at, nothing missing
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, answering questions and resolving documentation gaps quickly
• Run weekly client update calls or meetings, keeping clients informed and confident on where their project stands
• Run the weekly team meeting, keeping the design team aligned on priorities, deadlines, and open items
• Own studio-wide project scheduling — coordinating timelines across multiple concurrent projects so nothing slips or collides
• Track project budgets and flag variances early
• Conduct site visits as needed to confirm work matches approved specs and design intent
• Oversee punch lists and final walkthroughs to ensure a smooth handoff to installation

What You Bring

• 5+ years of project management experience in interior design, residential construction, or remodeling
• A meticulous eye for detail: comfortable reviewing spec sheets, plans, and construction documents thoroughly enough to catch gaps before they become field problems
• Strong organizational skills and experience running schedules across multiple concurrent projects
• Confident running meetings; you'll lead weekly team meetings and weekly client update calls
• Working familiarity with Sarasota-area building and permitting requirements is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; you'll be the clear, steady voice between designers, contractors, and clients
• Experience with project management or scheduling software (e.g., Houzz Pro, Google Suite, Asana)
• A collaborative mindset and appreciation for design quality; prior experience working alongside interior designers is a must

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, aligned with the current Sarasota-area market range for construction/design project managers (approximately $65,000–$85,000)
