Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a talented Interior Design (ID) Manager to lead our interior design efforts for high-end luxury construction projects. The role involves overseeing all interior design phases, from concept development to project completion, ensuring alignment with client visions, luxury standards, and project objectives. This position requires creativity, leadership, and technical expertise to manage large-scale luxury projects globally.
What You'll Be Doing
- Interior Design Leadership & Oversight:
- Lead development of interior design concepts for luxury residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
- Ensure design elements meet luxury standards and reflect client visions.
- Provide strategic leadership to the interior design team, ensuring seamless delivery from concept to construction.
- Project Coordination & Collaboration:
- Collaborate with architects, MEP teams, contractors, and stakeholders for smooth integration of design elements.
- Lead coordination meetings to resolve challenges and ensure luxury standards.
- Manage interface between interior design and other disciplines for consistency.
- Luxury Interior Execution:
- Oversee selection of high-end materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
- Ensure spaces reflect luxury aesthetics, balancing functionality and elegance.
- Review design documentation for accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Quality Control & Design Integrity:
- Implement quality control processes to meet craftsmanship standards.
- Review deliverables for compliance with client visions and regulations.
- Maintain design integrity during construction, resolving issues on-site.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
- Serve as primary contact for clients on design matters.
- Present concepts and updates, incorporating feedback while maintaining design integrity.
- Build strong client relationships for ongoing collaboration.
- Budget & Schedule Management:
- Coordinate with project management to align design with budgets and schedules.
- Review cost estimates and monitor procurement and delivery.
- Sustainability & Innovation:
- Integrate sustainable practices and stay updated with global trends in luxury interior design.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- 15-18 years of experience in interior design management, with at least 10 years in luxury projects.
- International experience managing large-scale luxury projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and visualization tools.
- Knowledge of luxury materials, finishes, and sourcing.
- Understanding of building codes, sustainability, and luxury standards.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Professional certification (e.g., NCIDQ, ASID) preferred.
