Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a summer intern for our Interior Design Group at the Indianapolis, IN Design Center. The intern will assist the project team, prepare architectural drawings in REVIT, and contribute to real-life projects that impact communities.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and professional development with potential for full-time opportunities after graduation. Strong portfolio and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a CIDA-accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
• Preferred: completed at least two years of architectural education (junior level).
• Ability to collaborate in a team and present ideas clearly.
• Digital portfolio showcasing academic and/or professional work is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team under supervision of Project Manager or Interior Designer.
• Prepare/modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details in REVIT.
• Develop solutions to design/technical problems following standards.
• Create 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings.
• Support client service and learn the architecture profession.
• Carry out tasks timely to meet commitments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the project team as instructed by and under the direct supervision of the Project Manager or Interior Designer
• Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing REVIT
• Develops solutions to design and technical problems following established standards
• Prepares 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings
• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service with a focus on learning the profession of architecture
• Perform duties in a timely manner in order to maintain established commitments
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a CIDA accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• Completed at least two years of architectural education (Junior level standing) is preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and present ideas clearly
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, be curious, engaged with others and eager to learn
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Must provide a digital portfolio showcasing academic and/or professional work
