Job summary

Burns & McDonnell in Kansas City, MO seeks a driven Interior Design Intern to join multidisciplinary teams of architects, designers and engineers on projects across corporate, healthcare, research and government sectors.

You will assist with design development, construction docs, specifications, client presentations and construction administration, while growing your skills under experienced mentors.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field.
• NAAB accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner; aptitude to grow in the field.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

• Design, construction documentation and specification development.
• Client presentations and programming tasks.
• Shop drawing review and construction administration.
• Assist in developing solutions to technical problems.
• Other duties as assigned.
