Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a design consultant to greet customers, understand project needs, and develop cohesive design concepts that fit style, lifestyle and budget. You will advise on tile, wood and stone options, schedule appointments, and build clientele through networking and referrals.

The role requires at least 1 year of design or sales experience; a Design degree is a plus, with strong math and computer skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of interior design or prior retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic math and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and schedule design appointments.
• Provide tile, wood, stone, and accessory advice for projects.
• Design and sell complete, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accurate communication and follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
