Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a design consultant to meet customers, listen to project needs, and present complete, eye-catching design concepts that align with budget and lifestyle.

You will guide clients from inquiry to installation, schedule appointments, and collaborate with store leadership. Minimum eligibility includes 1 year of interior design or retail/sales experience; a design degree is a plus, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of interior design experience or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematics.
• Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office.
• Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant position.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers in a helpful manner and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers and develop clientele.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessory advice to homeowners, designers and builders.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple customer projects through all phases with accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Use company communication tools and emails consistently.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives by modeling best practices.
• Engage in current and emerging design trends and utilize design applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
