Job summary

DES is seeking a seasoned Interior Design Business Development Strategist to fuel growth in Workplace and Technology markets. Hybrid role with onsite work in Redwood City and San Francisco on Tue, Wed, Thu, collaborating with Interior Design leadership, Partners, and Marketing.

You will develop and execute a comprehensive BD plan, expand our market presence, and drive growth through strategic partnerships, leveraging a deep industry network and design excellence.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Interior Design within the San Francisco Bay Area A/E/C industry, with a proven track record of leading business development initiatives
• Career progression from an Interior Design role into business development, with project leadership and client relationship development
• Experience leading BD across Workplace and Technology sectors with public and private clients

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute BD strategies for Workplace and Technology sectors
• Collaborate with Marketing to align BD and campaigns
• Cultivate client relationships to inform design strategy and growth
• Identify and pursue new client opportunities from engagement to contracts
• Represent the firm at industry events to build relationships and market presence
