Job summary

Coupar is seeking a Design Assistant to join our San Francisco team. You will collaborate with the design group to implement project designs under the direction of Principal and Lead/Managing designers.

Tasks include sourcing FF&E, creating client presentations, and developing AutoCAD drawings across floor plans, elevations, and ceilings. In this role you will update Basecamp daily, prepare design proposals, manage vendor relationships, and support the team through all phases of interior design.

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design
• 1–2 years experience inInterior Design internship or assistant role
• Resourceful and self-starting
• Detail oriented and organized
• Positive attitude with eagerness to grow
• Strong understanding of the design process
• Highly productive and thorough with attention to detail
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Excellent communication with team and vendors
• Proficient in AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Maintain all project information in Basecamp with daily updates
• Assist with product sourcing and presentation preparation
• Gather detailed information and quotes for preparation of accurate design proposals
• Create and prepare proposals for client submission
• Assist Design Team with design and administrative tasks across all phases of high-end interior design
• Develop and prepare client presentations using PowerPoint
• Develop AutoCAD plans (floor, furniture, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling planes)
• Maintain knowledge of market products and materials
• Maintain and develop vendor database and accounts
• Assist with sample return and materials library organization
• Assist with Studio WebWARE input and tracking
• Organize and maintain client FF&E binders
• Communicate professionally with clients, reps, vendors and installers
• Maintain project files, samples, and orders
• Coordinate onsite installations and deinstallation punch lists
