Job summary

D|Watts Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee interior office buildouts in the DC area. You will coordinate clients, building management, subcontractors and team to ensure smooth, on-time project delivery. A strong background in construction management and experience with GC environments are essential.

The role requires leadership, meticulous budgeting, scheduling and reporting. You will drive project interviews, oversee change orders, payments and close-out while maintaining

Qualifications

• Experience managing interior office buildouts as a PM with a GC.
• At least 3 years’ experience with a General Contractor.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings.
• Excellent organizational and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Manage 2-4 projects simultaneously.
• Develop and oversee budgets and bids.
• Create approved subcontractor bid list.
• Prepare project team for interviews.
• Set objectives and milestones and ensure they are met.
• Conduct meetings and owner reports.
• Maintain budgets and schedules.
• Oversee training of project team and subs.
• Serve as main contact for client, owner, architect, and team.
• Review and approve subcontractor payments.
• Negotiate change orders.
• Maintain subcontractor relations.
• Oversee timely close-out.
• Train Project Engineers/Assistant PMs.
• Develop and track leads for upcoming projects.
• Build relationships to acquire new business.
