Job summary

Chatham University is seeking an IAResource Room Manager to maintain and organize materials used by the interior architecture program. The role acts like a librarian, guiding students and faculty in selecting building materials, finishes, equipment, and specification documents.

Responsibilities include reshelving, assisting students, cataloging donated items, updating vendor lists, and coordinating with faculty advisors. This is a student work-study position located on campus in Kentucky.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of room layout and organization as a guide for users.
• Ability to reshelve materials and assist students.
• Assist with donation processing and donor notes.
• Maintain and update vendor lists and current postings.
• Keep magazines/periodicals organized; manage catalogs.

Responsibilities

• Assist faculty with administrative tasks for class instruction.
• Maintain large format plotters; basic maintenance like ink changes and paper jams.
• Help students use desktop plotter for high resolution scans.
• Update magazines and periodicals; ensure correct placement in carousel and bookcase.
• Meet monthly with faculty advisor to review processes and suggestions for improvement.
