Job summary

Vaco’s client in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Interim Staff Accountant to provide hands-on support during a critical period.

You’ll handle GL entries, reconciliations, month-end close, audits, tax filings, budgeting/forecasting, and AP/AR activities. This is an on-site, 40-hour/week contract paying $40–$45 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision and a 401K plan. Strong GAAP knowledge and experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
