Responsibilities

• Serve as a consultant to school staff concerning behavioral issues for students with disabilities.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments when appropriate.
• Facilitate development of behavior intervention plans and train staff on implementation fidelity.
• Collaborate with district personnel and school teams to recommend placements for students with severe behaviors.
• Assist in training school staff in de-escalation and restraint/isolation techniques.
• Assist in developing professional development for building-level staff.
• Address questions from parents, students, teachers, and administrators and attend IEP meetings as appropriate.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
