Job summary

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must meet all health, physical and background check requirements.
• Must hold a valid Tennessee teacher's license with an appropriate special education endorsement
• Must have successful training and/or experience working with students with disabilities.
• Ability to work with medically fragile students and/or those in crisis situations, such as acute/catastrophic illness or injury.
• Act in a professional and ethical manner, while maintaining emotional control in all situations.
• Manage a flexible and dependable schedule.
• Must have thorough knowledge of and ability to apply all pertinent Federal and State regulations regarding the assessment, identification, placement, and provision of appropriate services to eligible students with disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills--ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a wide range of people is essential (i.e., students, school administrators, teachers, support staff, parents and other professionals in the school and community.)
• Must have strong written and verbal presentation skills.
• Must hold a valid TN Driver's License and have reliable transportation.
