Job summary

Tatum by Randstad is seeking an Interim Senior Analyst to support energy and refining accounting during a team transition. The role is a 3- to 12-month contract focused on refinery accounting and data management.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of financial analysis experience within oil, gas, or refining, and strong proficiency in RightAngle, SAP FI/MM, and Excel. On-site in the Houston area, with close collaboration across treasury and audit teams.

Qualifications

Hiring: Interim Senior Analyst – Energy & Refining Accounting

We are seeking a sharp, highly dependable Interim Senior Analyst for a 3- to 12-month contract role to support our refinery accounting and data management operations during a period of team transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Month-End Close & Reporting: Manage monthly inventory reconciliations, actualization of product nominations, LIFO allocation analysis, FAS 151 reporting, and accrued sales/purchases.
• System Operations: Execute product billing, invoice actualizations, ticket corrections, and credit/rebill processes using RightAngle and SAP (FI/MM).
• Cash Forecasting & Variances: Prepare daily/monthly cash forecasts, coordinate rush vendor payments with Treasury, and deliver estimate vs. actual earnings variance analysis to management.
• Compliance & Controls: Respond to Corporate and External Audit (KPMG) requests and maintain tight internal controls.
• Process Continuity: Clean up workflows, document procedures, and cross-train team members on key financial reporting tasks.
