Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• CPA certification required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in energy industry.
• Proficiency in variance analysis, month-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and related accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Perform month-end close procedures including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Assist with budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing variances.
• Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting trends and variances.
• Ensure internal controls, policies, and procedures are followed.
• Assist with audit process preparation and coordination.
• Provide technical accounting guidance to other departments.
• Stay updated on industry trends and accounting regulations.
• Participate in special projects and process improvements as needed.
