The role partners with Plant Leadership, performs monthly closings, variance analysis, and planning, and provides data-driven insights to improve performance and cost control. The position acts as a trusted advisor across all plant functions, contributing to annual plans, standard cost reporting, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of Manufacturing Accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar required.
• Standard cost valuation experience.
• Cost accounting in an ERP systems environment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted business partner to Plant Leadership.
• Provide data driven insights to help drive performance and objectives.
• Track and report actual performance to plans, forecasts and standards.
• Analyze spending trends and headcount and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly closing entries.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analytics.
• Support annual plan and interim projections.
• Ensure standard costs are accurately reflected per GAAP and guidelines.
• Drive process improvements in financial analysis.
• Manage expense vs. Capital decisions to GAAP and guidelines.
• Participate as financial advisor on Plant Cost Savings initiatives.
• Maintain internal controls and audits.
• Ensure inventories are recorded per GAAP and reserves maintained.
• Represent Finance in plant meetings.

The Senior Plant Accountant will be to provide support to Operations, from an operational and financial perspective compatible with company guidelines. This includes monthly closings, variance analysis, annual planning, and other ad hoc analysis. This position will act as a trusted business partner with leadership and all functions in the facility. This is a visible and important position within the plant and with company leadership outside of the plant.

• Serve as a trusted business partner to the Plant Leadership.
• Provide data driven insights that help the team drive performance and objectives.
• Track and report actual performance to plans, forecasts and standards.
• Track and analyze spending trends and headcount and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare monthly closing entries.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and analytics.
• Support the preparation of the annual plan and interim projections.
• Responsible for accurate reflection of standard costs.
• Drive process improvements in the area of financial analysis.
• Manage expense vs. Capital decisions to GAAP and guidelines.
• Participate as financial advisor and validation on Plant Cost Savings initiatives.
• Maintain conformance to ongoing audit and maintenance of internal controls and oversight.
• Ensure inventories are recorded in accordance with GAAP and reserves are maintained.
• Represent the Finance Team in plant meetings.
