Job summary

Thrive Market in California is seeking an Interim Payroll & Benefits Supervisor/Manager to lead day-to-day payroll operations for about 1,600 employees across HQ and fulfillment centers on East and West Coast.

You will own payroll accuracy, tax compliance, and benefits administration, drive the Dayforce-to-Workday transition, and partner with Finance and HR to improve payroll processes, controls, and reporting in a growth-stage company.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, multi-state US payroll experience.
• Hands-on Workday configuration or payroll processing in ERP/HCM.
• Experience managing third-party payroll vendors and SLAs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach Payroll Coordinator; manage deadlines.
• Own payroll accuracy across East and West Coast payrolls; end-to-end processing.
• Maintain payroll tax and regulatory compliance; prepare year-end activities.
• Lead payroll-related Workday configuration and Dayforce-to-Workday transition.
• Document procedures and calendars; support audits and reporting.
