Job summary

Allure Healthcare Services is seeking an interim Assistant Director of Nursing for a 12-week assignment to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing daily nursing operations in a long-term care facility in Illinois.

The role requires RN licensure, a nursing degree, supervisory experience, and CPR certification to ensure compliance with regulations and high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Must have 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related health care facility.
• Must have at least 6 months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be a supportive team member and promote teamwork.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
• Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures governing day-to-day nursing operations.
• Ensure nursing staff follow job descriptions and maintain updated descriptions.
• Develop and update nursing service objectives and philosophy statements.
• Assist in developing nursing organization structure and staffing recommendations.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services for continuity of care.
• Review and ensure nursing documentation is current and descriptive.
