Job summary

Allure is seeking an interim Assistant Director of Nursing for a 12-week assignment in Illinois. You will support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day nursing operations, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering high-quality resident care.

The role requires a registered nurse with leadership experience, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. You’ll help manage staffing, policies, and coordination with other departments to maintain

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Registered Nurse with current unencumbered state license.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisor experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related health care setting.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and exercise good judgment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, laws, and guidelines for nursing care facilities.
• Commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing day-to-day nursing department functions.
• Participate in developing and updating policies and procedures for the nursing department.
• Ensure reference material at the nurse’s station is current and useful.
• Develop and update nursing service objectives and philosophy statements.
• Assist in creating and implementing a nursing organization structure and staffing plans.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Ensure staff follow job descriptions and periodically update them per regulations.
• Participate in facility surveys by government agencies as requested.
• Assist with discharge planning and planning for resident care components.
• Perform administrative duties such as forms, reports, and charting.
• Monitor quality indicators and survey reports, providing recommendations to improve.
