Job summary

Trinity Youth Services is seeking an Interim Maintenance Worker to join our residential team in California for a temporary assignment. The role focuses on routine maintenance across the youth residential campus, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.

The candidate will establish a preventive maintenance calendar, coordinate external services, and ensure vehicle maintenance is up-to-date. Strong record-keeping and safety awareness are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and experience in routine building maintenance (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and ability to perform preventive maintenance on HVAC units preferred.
• Must keep accurate records and receipts; familiarity with building and safety codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up a preventive maintenance calendar for HVAC units, boilers, water heaters, commercial kitchen equipment, and major appliances; coordinate outside service scheduling with the Campus Director.
• Communicate campus needs with the director and collaboratively develop plans to address all needs (internal and external projects).
• Ensure all Trinity Youth Services vehicles have scheduled preventive maintenance in a timely manner.
• Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor to report and address damages or vehicle failures promptly.
• Drive a vehicle when necessary.
