Job summary

Open Hand Ministries seeks an Interim Executive Director in Pittsburgh's East End to lead the organization through a period of leadership transition. You will drive mission-aligned strategy, staff empowerment, and stakeholder engagement while maintaining day-to-day operations.

This 12–18 month role focuses on organizational leadership, operations, fundraising, and sustaining community partnerships to shape OHM's future and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Organizational Leadership and Management: With support from the Board and Staff, develop short-, mid-, and long-term strategies to achieve the mission and progress toward goals.
• Provide steady, mission-aligned leadership to staff, volunteers, and partners.
• Support and supervise staff with clear roles, priorities, and expectations.
• Maintain a healthy, collaborative, and supportive organizational culture.
• Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous evaluation, and sound finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems.
• Recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve strategic goals.
