Job summary

ELMWOOD PARK BOARD OF EDUCATION SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking an Elementary Leave Replacement Classroom Teacher for the September 2026 - June 2027 school year. The ideal candidate will facilitate student success in academic and interpersonal skills, implement district-approved curriculum, and manage classroom activities to ensure a safe learning environment.

The position requires a NJ State Certification as an Elementary Teacher and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field, with prior teaching experience as a plus.

Qualifications

• Certification/License: NJ State Certification as an Elementary Teacher.
• Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade levels a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills.
• Develop and administer school elementary curriculum consistent with school district goals.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and modify instructional methods.

Skills

Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy

Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents

Ability to organize and coordinate work

Knowledge of elementary school curriculum and concepts
