On Deck Healthcare is seeking an experienced Interim Emergency Department Director for a hospital on the Oregon Coast, about two hours from Eugene. The role will emphasize culture work, quality metrics, and mentoring, with director‑level responsibilities but no direct managerial reporting.

Ideal candidates have ED Director experience in a union environment and an OR RN license, plus a strong clinical foundation to lead through influence and stay calm under pressure.

Interim Emergency Department Director - Oregon Coast

We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of the Emergency Department for a hospital on the Oregon Coast about 2 hours from Eugene. This role will be focused on culture work, quality metrics, and mentoring. This position is director level in nature but will not have a manager reporting up.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Previous experience as an ED Director in a union environment
• OR RN required
• Strong clinical foundation with the ability to lead through influence and maintain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with staff and support the leadership team in daily operations.
• Knowledgeable in patient safety protocols, EMR systems, and nursing workflows in acute care settings.
• Availability to begin within 2-4 weeks from date of offer and to be on-site in Central California for the duration of the engagement.
