Job summary

Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center in Medford, Oregon, seeks a Director of the Emergency Department to lead nursing and operations for a 44-bed ED. The role reports to the CNO and manages about 200 FTEs, aiming to improve patient flow and reduce LOS in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Minimum five years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an Emergency Department.
• CNML certification and TNCC course preferred.
• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Experience using Epic and performance data in a unionized environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing and operational leadership for the 44-bed Emergency Department.
• Oversee approximately 200 FTEs and two direct reports.
• Improve patient flow, reduce length of stay and patient holds.
• Support opening of additional beds and an observation unit.
• Mentor the department’s manager and supervisor and guide change without disruption.
