Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking an Interim Director of Nursing to oversee nursing services in a nursing center on a temporary basis. The role focuses on managing transitional leadership, logistics, and ensuring smooth operations during the period.

You will lead professional and auxiliary nursing staff, collaborate with the NHA on budgeting, perform rounds, review progress notes, enforce policies, and deliver in-service training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license.
• At least five years of clinical experience and two years in long-term care supervision.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, and coordinate nursing activities for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with the NHA to develop and control the nursing department budget.
• Perform daily rounds to assess patient needs and care outcomes.
• Review progress notes to ensure quality and response to the care plan.
• Interpret policies and ensure compliance across nursing personnel.
• Provide in-service training for nursing staff.
