Job summary
Genesis Healthcare is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in delivering efficient clinical care and achieving positive patient outcomes. You will serve as a liaison between nursing units and leadership, ensuring compliance with policies and fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
The role requires RN licensure, 3+ years of clinical experience with 2+ years in long-term care supervision, and on-call availability.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license.
- Minimum 3 years of full-time clinical experience; at least 2 years in nursing supervision in long-term care.
- Knowledge of the MDS process, state nurse practice acts, and state and federal regulations.
- On-call availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Serve as clinical operational liaison between nursing units and the Director of Nursing.
- Ensure quality of clinical operations and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Collaborate to develop, allocate and control the nursing department budget.
- Mentor staff to achieve top-of-license practice and continuous improvement.
- Assist with nurse staffing, including evaluations, interviews and orientation.
