Legacy Healthcare is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Nursing (DON) to lead a 100-bed skilled nursing facility in Milwaukee, WI. This hands‑on leadership role requires a proven track record with regulatory compliance, survey success, and operational excellence during a leadership transition.

The Interim DON will oversee the nursing department, prepare for a state survey revisit, mentor the incoming DON, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to sustain exceptional resident

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact) preferred.
• Experience as Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Proven success navigating state surveys and survey revisits.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and long-term care compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and staff development skills.
• Ability to quickly assess operations, stabilize clinical services, and implement solutions.
• Available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of the nursing department.
• Guide the facility through a successful state survey revisit.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain high standards of resident care and clinical quality.
• Mentor and train the incoming Director of Nursing.
