Job summary

AMN Healthcare Leadership Solutions | B.E. Smith is seeking an Interim CVOR Nurse Educator in the Washington, DC area. The role involves leading education programs for CVOR, mentoring staff, onboarding new hires, and collaborating with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to expand case volume.

The ideal candidate has extensive CVOR scrub and circulating experience, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication. Start date ASAP with a $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Active RN license required; DC RN license strongly preferred.
• Three to five years of CVOR circulator experience required.
• Experience in Level I academic medical center or similarly complex surgical environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement CVOR education programs.
• Mentor and support preceptors and onboarding staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons and interdisciplinary teams.
• Expand procedural complexity and case volume in the department.
• Provide hands-on orientation, clinical skills training, and ongoing staff education.
