Job summary

OHSU is seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) reporting to the CIO to lead the Technology Infrastructure, Design and Engineering (TIDE) Division. This interim, time-limited 6 to 12 months role focuses on ensuring 24x7 operations, stability, security and resilience across OHSU systems and networks.

You will set technology direction, reap traditional IT governance, and align architecture with enterprise standards while guiding emerging tech adoption to support clinical, research and academic

Qualifications

• Masters in information technology or related field (or Bachelor’s with significant IT experience)
• Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible IT management positions
• 3+ years in senior IT management including budgeting and reporting
• Experience evaluating business requirements, options, costs, risks and governance
• Experience developing and implementing IT strategies and managing large applications projects
• Knowledge of ITIL service management concepts

Responsibilities

• Define a robust, scalable technology architecture aligned with enterprise architecture
• Define engineering and technical standards and ensure adoption
• Direct delivery and reliability of core technology services, systems and networks
• Lead capacity planning and identify risks and dependencies
• Establish and monitor performance metrics for the division
• Manage operating and capital budgets and vendor relationships
