Job summary

CFS in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a hands-on accounting leader who will oversee the accounting function for a growing manufacturing company, mentoring a junior team and partnering with operations to drive meaningful business impact.

You'll manage the month-end close, prepare financial statements and analyses, strengthen internal controls, and lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow activities while collaborating with leadership to enhance performance.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting leadership experience, ideally as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager.
• Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to develop and mentor less experienced accounting professionals.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and the month-end close process.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while creating accountability within the department.
• Strengthen internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
• Partner with leadership and operational teams to drive financial performance and decision-making.
