Job summary

Our client in New Jersey seeks an experienced Interim Controller to immediately assume controller-level responsibilities and provide continuity across the accounting and finance function. You will lead month-end close, manage financial reporting, partner with the finance team and stakeholders, and drive process documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure a smooth transition.

Ideal candidates have 10–15 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership, prior controller experience,

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience.
• Prior Controller or similar senior-level accounting experience.
• Able to step in quickly and operate independently.
• Strong month-end close and financial reporting experience.
• Media & Entertainment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee month-end close
• Manage financial reporting and accounting operations
• Provide day-to-day Controller-level leadership
• Ensure continuity throughout the transition
• Support knowledge transfer and process documentation
• Partner with the existing finance team and key stakeholders
• Identify and address issues impacting close and reporting
