Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing seeks an experienced Interim Controller for a privately held organization in Kansas City, MO. This hands-on role requires taking ownership of the day-to-day accounting function while partnering with an existing AP/AR/admin HR resource.

The ideal candidate will lead month-end close, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting, with GAAP expertise and the ability to operate independently in a lean environment.

Formación

• Demonstrated controller-level leadership and ownership of month-end close.
• Strong experience with general ledger accounting and financial statement prep.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and core accounting processes.
• Ability to work hands-on in a lean environment and operate independently.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of general accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Manage monthly close and ensure books are complete and accurate.
• Prepare financial statements and related reporting.
• Oversee general ledger activity and account reconciliations.
• Support accounting for investments and operating business; oversee inventory-related activity.
