RGP is seeking a strong, hands-on Interim Controller to join a growing organization in Youngstown, OH. You will report to the Executive Director of Corporate Finance and CFO, overseeing accounting operations, payroll, AP/AR, cash flow, and intercompany accounting.

This role requires problem-solving ability, comfort with ambiguity, and the capacity to bring structure to a high-volume environment while partnering with the Accounting Manager.

• Manage payroll including accuracy, taxes, benefits, and processes.
• Oversee AP/AR, ensure timely, accurate posting and reconciliations.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, and bank activities.
• Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time.
• Support month-end and ongoing accounting activities.
• Identify and fix gaps in processes and controls; improve efficiency.
• Partner with senior finance leadership to bring stability to the accounting function.

About This Role

We're seeking a strong, hands-on Interim Controller to join a growing organization and partner closely with the existing Accounting Manager. The Interim Controller will report to the Executive Director of Corporate Finance and CFO and oversee a broad range of accounting and finance operations.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced accounting leader who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, navigating ambiguity, solving problems, and bringing structure to a high-volume environment.

What You Will Work On

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and partner closely with the Accounting Manager
• Manage and oversee payroll, including accuracy, taxes, benefits, and overall payroll processes
• Oversee AP/AR, ensuring timely and accurate processing
• Manage cash flow, treasury, and bank account activities
• Ensure payments are processed accurately and on time
• Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations
• Support month-end and ongoing accounting activities
• Identify gaps in processes, documentation, and controls and develop practical solutions
• Identify opportunities to streamline, consolidate, and improve accounting processes
• Serve as a trusted resource to senior finance leadership and help bring stability and structure to the accounting function

What You Will Bring

• Strong Controller-level accounting experience
• Experience working in a high-volume accounting environment
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Comfort operating in an environment with ambiguity and evolving priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and organizational nuances
• A hands-on approach and willingness to work shoulder-to-shoulder with the accounting team
• Experience improving processes, documenting procedures, and creating efficiencies
• The organization currently utilizes NetSuite, Paycor, and Tipalti. Experience with these systems is preferred but not required.
