Five T Management is seeking an experienced Interim Compliance Officer to lead compliance for two portfolios on a fixed-term engagement. You will own the compliance calendar, audits, and agency relationships across 5TM and 5TMSP, market rate and affordable housing.
The role requires deep knowledge of HUD/LIHTC/CHA/IHDA/DOH and strong leadership in audits and regulatory reporting, with the authority to implement policies across sites during the assignment.
Location: Chicago, IL (5T corporate office, with portfolio site visits as needed)
Reports To: Senior Operations Director
Employment Type: Full-time, temporary (approximately 6 months to 1 year, with possible extension), salaried, exempt
Salary Range: $80,000+, commensurate with experience
Five T Management (5TM) and Five T Management Service Provider (5TMSP) are Chicago-based property management companies built on one idea: we manage every property like we own it. Together we oversee more than 3,500 households across market rate and affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HUD, CHA, IHDA, PBV, PRA, and NOAH. Our standard is never "good enough." It's always higher than what's required.
You know the regulations cold. You've just never had the room to run the whole program yourself.
For the next several months, you will. We need an experienced compliance leader to step into our Interim Compliance Officer seat while our current Compliance Officer is out on leave. This isn't a watered-down version of the job. You'll own the same compliance calendar, the same audits, and the same agency relationships across our full portfolio, both 5TM and 5TMSP, market rate and affordable. When our current officer returns, you'll walk away having led compliance for two portfolios on your own, with the track record to prove it.
