Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is assisting a North Wales housing association to appoint an Interim Compliance Manager to oversee landlord safety compliance across homes. You will drive performance in gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, water hygiene, and lifts, manage data and contractor performance, and report to senior managers and the board.

The role requires strong experience in social housing compliance, Welsh regulatory awareness, and the ability to lead a team on an interim basis to deliver

Qualifications

• Senior compliance or building safety experience in social housing or similar property environment.
• Strong knowledge of landlord health and safety obligations (gas, electrical, fire, asbestos, legionella, lifts).
• Understanding of Welsh regulatory context and housing quality standards.
• Experience managing contractors and compliance contracts.
• Ability to analyse compliance data and report to senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading or coordinating a team.
• Ability to work independently in an interim capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of landlord compliance across gas, electrical, fire safety, asbestos, legionella, water hygiene and lifts.
• Review compliance performance, identify risks and gaps, and implement action plans.
• Monitor safety checks, certificates and remedial works to ensure timely completion and accurate recording.
• Oversee contractor performance, including contract management, QA and escalation of issues.
• Produce regular compliance reports for senior management, the executive team and the board.
• Ensure accuracy of compliance data in housing and asset management systems.
• Manage access procedures and work with housing teams on no-access cases.
• Support audits, inspections and regulatory engagement, and respond to findings.
• Review and update compliance policies, procedures and risk registers.
• Lead, support and guide compliance staff, and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Prepare a clear handover at the end of the assignment.
