Job summary

Illinois Counseling Centers in Hoffman Estates, IL seeks an Interim Clinical Director to guide pre-opening licensure and program development for outpatient, IOP, and PHP services. You will partner with medical leadership to shape clinical operations, staffing, and documentation standards to meet ASAM and IDHS-DBHR requirements.

Following licensure, you will oversee clinical quality, supervision, and day-to-day operations as the organization transitions to permanent leadership; this is a 1099

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related behavioral health field.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois LCSW or LCPC license in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of behavioral health clinical experience.
• At least 2 years of clinical supervision or program leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of substance use disorder treatment and evidence-based clinical practices.

Responsibilities

• Support clinical readiness for IDHS-DBHR licensure and program launch.
• Review and assist with development of clinical policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Support implementation of ASAM-based programming for Outpatient, IOP, and PHP levels of care.
• Assist with development of clinical staffing and supervision structures.
• Review clinical documentation, treatment planning, and quality standards.
• Participate in licensing-readiness meetings, interviews, and surveys as appropriate.
• Collaborate with organizational and medical leadership to ensure clinical operations are prepared for launch.
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight of treatment services after launch.
• Supervise clinical supervisors and therapy teams.
• Oversee treatment planning, clinical documentation, and clinical decision-making.
• Monitor documentation for accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
• Support crisis management and complex clinical situations.
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration among clinical, medical, and administrative teams.
• Monitor clinical outcomes and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Support ongoing regulatory and accreditation compliance.
