Job summary

Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Interim Associate Pastor to partner with us in ministry from mid-February 2027 through mid-August 2027.

Primary duties include pastoral care, spiritual development through small groups and Bible studies, leading worship, celebrating sacraments, officiating weddings and funerals, and coordinating a youth trip to Massanetta in July with others. Benefits follow Presbytery guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Pastoral care for congregation, working with Deacons, supporting visiting and communion teams, and memorial services.
• Lead spiritual development through small groups, Bible studies, and adult education.
• Support and help lead weekly worship, preach about once a month, celebrate sacraments, and officiate weddings and funerals.
• Coordinate youth trip to Massanetta Massanetta VA in July in collaboration with others.
• Encourage mission, racial justice and service involvement across the congregation.

Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church (BHPC) , a joyful, thriving congregation of 670 members located in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Interim Associate Pastorto partner with us in ministryfrom around February 15, 2027, through mid-August 2027.

Primary responsibilities include:

• 1) Helping organize and provide pastoral care, working closely with Deacons, resourcing our visiting and communion teams, and supporting memorial services.
• 2) Investing in the spiritual development of members through leading our small group program, teaching Bible studies, and supporting adult education.
• 3) Supporting and helping lead weekly worship, preaching on average once a month. Celebrating the sacraments. Officiating weddings and funerals as needed.
• 4) Helping lead one four day July youth spiritual trip to Massanetta VA, in coordination with others.
• Encouraging congregational involvement in mission, racial justice and service, in coordination with others.

Secondary responsibilities include:

• 1) Supporting the education and involvement of youth as needed, meeting at times with youth after worship.
• 2) Partnering with other staff on connecting members with opportunities for involvement in the congregation to enhancing a sense of belonging within the community.
• 3) Carrying out general ministry in our diverse community, in partnership and collaboration with our experienced staff and active congregation.

Annualized salary/housing $90,000 plus excellent benefits, including health care, retirement, vacation, study leave, etc, consistent with Presbytery guidance.
