Job summary

CFS is seeking an Interim Accounts Payable Manager to lead and scale the AP function in a growing real estate environment, onsite in Winter Park, FL. You will mentor the AP team, drive process improvements, and partner with cross-functional groups to support month-end closes and operational objectives.

You will balance strategic process design with hands‑on execution, manage vendor relationships, and implement controls to safeguard payments and accuracy during a period of rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing an Accounts Payable team within a complex, multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of AP operations, vendor management, payment controls, process improvement, and team leadership.
• Experience with Sage, RealPage, Entrata, or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and accountability for the accounts payable team as the Interim Accounts Payable Manager.
• Monitor AP aging, invoice processing, payment activity, and department workload while ensuring timely issue resolution as the Interim Accounts Payable Manager.
• Review and enhance accounts payable processes, internal controls, approval workflows, and vendor management procedures as the Interim Accounts Payable Manager.
• Partner with Accounting, Property Management, Development, and Construction teams to support operational objectives and month-end close activities as the Interim Accounts Payable Manager.
• Document procedures, identify automation opportunities, establish performance expectations, and prepare the department for long-term scalability as the Interim Accounts Payable Manager.
