Qualifications

• Child Development or Teacher qualified under Minnesota Rule 9503.0033.
• Current Pediatric CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Research and development of curriculum relevant to the classroom age group.
• Provide weekly plans to the Director and the parents.
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum to nurture psychosocial, cognitive and cultural needs.
• Report concerns to the teacher or director regarding staff or classroom issues.
• Maintain attendance records, emergency forms, curriculum plans and child development profiles.
• Communicate with parents on child development issues and policies.
• Ensure health, hygiene, safety and overall well-being of children at all times.
• Conduct parent-teacher conferences twice per year.
• Assist in ongoing child assessments and maintain confidentiality of records.
• Supervise classroom aides and volunteers; report to Teacher or Director.
