Job summary

The Religious and Spiritual Life Associate at The Claremont Colleges Services provides programmatic, logistical, and administrative support to all Religious and Spiritual Life activities, with duties including coordinating interfaith programs, publicity, and event logistics.

The role runs during the academic year (August–May) up to 20 hours weekly, with many events in evenings and weekends and ends May 31, 2027.

Qualifications

• Background in studying religion.
• Preference for degrees/certificates in spirituality.
• Excellent written, oral, and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible, organized, creative, energetic spirit.
• Excellent planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• Flexible schedule.
• Responsive to communications in a timely manner.
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Outlook.
• Capable of independent work and teamwork with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record per post-offer check.

Responsibilities

• Provide programmatic, logistical, and administrative support to Religious and Spiritual Life activities.
• Organize and run interfaith activities and support student groups.
• Publicity and marketing of programs (emails, flyers, social media, calendars, brochures, website).
• Advocate for religious and spiritual life on campus.
• Coordinate recording, photography, and sign-ups of events.
• Plan and execute weekly, monthly, semester, and major religious holiday programming.
• Procure and deliver supplies and food when needed.
• Update Google Drive and Box documents; coordinate with students, faculty, staff, and partners.
